Onsite Training Course Descriptions
Power and Generation Services Ltd runs several courses for Marine, Dive system, Drilling, and ROV technicians. The courses have a generic content but can also be made more specific to the client’s equipment if required. The course is also relevant for maintenance and operations technicians in the oil and gas industry.
The HV/LV and Ex equipment course for maintenance and operations personnel can be run over one, two or three days depending on the content required and prior knowledge and experience of the technicians.
A Certificate of Attainment is awarded to candidates who successfully complete the course and the final assessment.
A Certificate of Competency for the candidate to be able to safely isolate and work on HV equipment over 1000volts AC can be produced. This would require the assessor to witness the activity at the work site or a suitable simulation exercise that can be demonstrated. The standard attained during the one day course and the prior knowledge and experience of the candidate would also be reviewed prior to awarding a certificate of competency.
The course syllabus is as per the guidance note IMCA C010 July 2006 and is endorsed by the Institutes of Engineering and Technology.
Venue: The courses can be run at the clients own onshore facility or onboard the vessel, this is not restricted to the UK sector and the courses can be run globally if required.
The courses can also be run at The Underwater Training Centre in Fort William Scotland where accommodation is also available.
We also do our best to work in with your crew changes to get the most efficient usage of course time and dates.
